Le Méridien Hotel Zhengzhou
Project by Neri & Hu
Shanghai studio Neri&Hu has made its largest project to date – a total exterior and interior overhaul of Le Méridien hotel in Zhengzhou, China, featuring a new facade resembling a pile of glass boxes. Architects Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu developed the redesign of the 25-storey Le Meridien hotel around the concept of an “archive” for artefacts relating to the cultural history of Henan Province. This is expressed on the interior and exterior through use of materials and patterns appropriate to the region, as well as in the arrangement of spaces.
In the interior of the restaurant there are custom antique carpets and a private dining room with a Little field of Flowers rug hanged on the wall as a work of art.
Challenge Add warmth to a comfortable and relaxed space.
Solution Presenting great personality and style, the Antique rug was the perfect option.
