At home with Nani

We have talked to Nani about how she spends these days of quaratine.

Mi house is my nest and is full of memories from trips and life moments. I have spend time organizing all this little objects and found a bit of balance within the chaos that we are living

The founder of nanimarquina has spent these days with her partner and surrounded by her own objects and designs.

What would you highlight from these days of confinement at home?

It is a very rare experience for those of us who live here and there, travelling a lot. I have learned to enjoy the little things and the everyday. It has also given me time to observe my surroundings and recall memories that bring me the objects that surround me.
And I’ve discovered new corners at home where I can relax

What’s been your routine these days?

Working more than ever, making video conferencing, family calls, virtual games with my grandchildren, designing, creating new ideas for rugs, drawing and painting. I have try to be very active.

Nanimarquina in the coming months

We have long focused on sustainability and how to transform our processes and products to make them more respectful. Now this goal is even clearer.
In this sense, confinement has given me an idea of a fully recycled product that we have already started to develop.

How are you and the team working during confinement?

Telephone, video conferencing, all eager and overcoming the difficulties of not being physically united. We are putting more effort than ever to overcome these difficult times.

After this experience I would like to work more from home and make up some time for myself.

Reading

I read less than ever since I usually read when I go to bed and these days I’m more tired.
But in my Kindle I have a great novel, The House of Spirits of Isabel Allende.

Listening

I listen to classical music when I do my exercises in the morning, I love Mozart

One dish

We love to cook baked fish. And we love to make an aperitif in the sun from our terrace.

Activity

This is a good time to start meditating.
