nanimarquina National Design Award 2005

On May 18 took place in Madrid the award ceremony of the National Design Awards 2005.
The event was held in the Auditorium of the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, and His Majesty the King of Spain who presented the awards to the designer Carlos Rolando and the company nanimarquina.
The National Design Awards, a honorary prize, is the highest award given to designers in Spain who stand out for their professional work and to companies that successfully use design in their innovation strategy for their trajectory.
The main objectives of the National Design Awards are to extend, strengthen and promote the culture of design; promote design in all its aspects, highlighting the exemplary manifestations in the relationship between design and business on the one hand, and their cultural and social impact on the other; another of its objectives is to conduct an information campaign for the correct assessment and understanding of design by society in general.
They were born in 1987 and since its launch, they have recognized the professional work of designers such as Alberto Corazón, Óscar Tusquets or Javier Mariscal, and companies like Puig Perfumes, Vinçon or Rock. On this occasion, the jury of the 2005 edition has been integrated by Oscar Peña, Carles Riera, Álvaro Sobrino, Ignacio Valero, Manuel Zahera, Xénia Viladás and Isabel Roig.
Nani Marquina received the award with a speech thanking the work of all her employees over 20 years of hard work she has been leading the company.
