Nani in 5

We sat down with Nani to explore her innermost dreams as a designer

From the very beginning, Nani Marquina dedicated considerable attention and effort to researching raw materials and manufacturing processes—elements that have enriched the aesthetic value of her designs and driven the brand's commercial success. Furthermore, with her visionary approach, Nani Marquina has introduced collections from internationally renowned designers, becoming the first textile design editor to embrace the concept of signature rugs.

Today, we chat with her to discover who is and what are behind nanimarquina

1# A nani rug (that is not yours)

 Losanges

2# The iconic design object you would have liked to design.

Any Isamu Noguchi Akari lamp, because I love the warm light achieved and the handmade paper.

3# A designer or artist with whom you would like to share a dinner.

If he were alive with Eduardo Chillida, and chat about how he combines poetry with art.

4# What is more valuable: the idea or the result?

The result, because it is the value of the idea

5 # In the creative process, how often do you reject the first idea?

A lot of times I reject the first idea I have - good ideas are the ones that stay in your head for a long time.
