Inspired by the textures, reliefs and patterns of the tiles of the streets of Shanghai.
The name of the collection responds to the Chinese character Jie 街, which embodies the essence of the city: movement, dynamism and frenetic activity.
The result is an eclectic hand-tufted rug with different heights and finishes made with virgin wool.
The Jie character is made up of a root and a phonetic. The old ideograms of the character interpret the street as an intersection, evoking life at the crossroads, while the central part of the character is made up of two earth characters, whose ideogram shows a clay on the potter's wheel ... a connection with the Neri and Hu ceramic colors used for the series.” clarifies Neri & Hu.
