13. What is the difference between handmade rugs and those produced by a machine?

Our rugs are individually made on traditional hand-powered looms by artisans. No type of mechanical aid is used during the weaving process, except for the hand tufted technique which uses a gun that directs one of
our artisans.

By making our rugs by hand, they can have an organic natural variation, taking advantage of their imperfections.

Machine-made rugs are more likely to look "perfect" but lack unique character, while individual weaving techniques give handmade rugs their distinctive character, like the marks of beauty of a truly unique work of art. .

14. How long can a rug last?

Our rugs are highly durable, but require maintenance to keep them looking good. You can expect that one of our rugs can last for decades, as long as they are properly cared for, well maintained, and used in a suitable environment.

15. My uneven rug arrived with a ripple at the top. Is this a manufacturing defect?

No, it is not a manufacturing defect. Irregular shaped rugs manufactured with the hand tufted technique usually present this type of wrinkles and marks due to being rolled up for transport. These wrinkles and marks are temporary.

To remove visible marks, vacuum the carpet moving the pile in different directions. With the help of the vacuum cleaner, the hair is lifted and recovers its initial state.
You can also use the help of an iron by applying steam to the wrinkle from the back. We recommend using a cloth between the mat and the iron to prevent damage.
Afterwards, the carpet needs to be curved and folded to the other side to shape it until the wrinkle is finally removed. Repeat the process until the wrinkles and marks disappear.
