Details

Topo is an invitation to rethink the boundaries of functional design and rediscover the beauty of the essential: a large circle, positioned at the very edge of the rectangular area. A powerful visual tension. Each Topo rug is handwoven with handspun Afghan wool. A kilim that combines textile tradition with a radically contemporary aesthetic. The collection is available in three monochromatic versions: black, green or red, always set against a raw background.

  • Type

    KILIM

  • Total height

    4 mm

  • Density

    48.000 yarns/m2

Fibers

100% Hand spun Afghan wool

Afghan wool comes from sheep grazing high in the mountains of Afghanistan. Naturally wavy, it is a very resistant material with a rough touch. Due to the curl of the wool and the irregularity in the yarn, when weaving it, it achieves an aged and unique appearance.

Technique

Hand loomed Kilim

Manual weaving on a vertical or horizontal loom that plays with the intersection between weft and warp. Thin and light rugs that usually feature geometric patterns, as well as firm, resistant and without knots, which makes dhurries clean and easy to maintain rugs.

Cleaning and care

Tips

  • Vacuum frequently.
  • Clean stains with the appropriate solution before they dry.
  • Take the rug to specialized dry cleaners, if necessary.

Topo collection

Topo, an exploration of essential geometry, primary colour, and spatial strength designed by Marc Morro. This collection stems from the desire to return to the elemental: basic geometric forms, primary colours, and simplicity with meaning. The result is a rug with multiple layers of interpretation: it may serve as a focal point, a refuge, a point of departure, or simply a graphic pause on the floor.
